The Model Families Initiative For Malaria Control (MFIMC) 2018
The Model Families Initiative for Malaria Control (MFIMC) project aims to facilitate health behavior change in up to four hundred (400) households in Akowonjo community in the Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State.
Utilizing Behavior Change Communication as it’s primary strategy, the goal is to reduce incidences of malaria and prevent malaria related fatalities in participating families and the broader target community. Families with children under 5 and expectant mothers are the primary target of program interventions.
The MFIMC program is modeled and adapted around a successful USAID funded program on malaria control. The MFIMC pilot is made possible through a grant from ACT Foundation.
